A Quick Look At Next Season

Jim Hendry, General Manager of the Cubs, will have his hands full this off season.  With the search for a new Manager, the interview process promises to bring some new excitement to Wrigley.
thumbnailCAL7G4N9.jpg As long as the Cubs’ organization are committed to winning a championship and not settling for a long, grueling rebuilding year, the Cubs should have new hope.  Ryne Sandberg has proven that he can manage.  He earned Manager Of The Year honors in the Pacific Coast League with his first place team going 82-62.  There is no question that he could be the right man for the job.  Ryno will have stiff competition though.  Mike Quade has done well as the Cubs’  interim Manager and has an equally good chance to land the job.  Joe Girardi is in the last year of his contract and could be a candidate as well.  It should prove to be interesting.
